She is not only well versed in the fitness community and a model for Stetts Model Management, but is a lifelong dancer/singer. Alexis grew up in the arts, dancing since the age of 5 attending prestigious schools as Paul Taylor, The Graham School, and The Ailey School. While attending The Ailey School, she decided to expand her talents and started vocal training with Terry Fabrizio. This turn of events led her to performing in Hairspray at The Ailey City Group Theater, under the direction of Judine Somerville. After graduating The Ailey School, Alexis continued to audition. To maintain her health and wellness while auditioning, she started frequenting various group fitness studios around the city. The performing aspect of coaching classes appealed to Alexis, and the body awareness she had from years of dancing would make for a seamless transition. In 2017, she took that leap of faith and became NASM certified. Alexis was quickly hired with Tone House, one of NYC’s most intense gyms, becoming one of their youngest coaches. Since her time at Tone House, Alexis has worked for SoHo Strength Lab, she was a founding coach with Rowgatta, and a trainer for The Training Lab. She is known for her tough but thoughtful programs, precise cueing and kick ass playlists. Recently a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC Level 1), she continues to personal train her clients both in person and virtually, as well as teaching her Flex with Lex classes where she focuses on intense core stability paired with innovative functional strength programs geared to bring out the inner athlete in everyone.
